Summerland Gate, Cheeke Street, Exeter EX1 2DD, UK – 0345 308 4620
Good selection of current films with convenient parking in car park next door. Friendly staff. Recommended.
My biggest complaint with this cinema is that no matter what screen you're in, it's always freezing cold! Even with a coat on. I don't want to have to wear a coat and scarf when I go to the cinema, i want to relax! It is quite expensive here, but then the seats are quite comfy. As with every Vue, the food is very overpriced.
Sidwell St, Exeter EX4 6PL, UK – 0333 014 4501
Proper old school cinema feel to the building. Fairly comfy chairs with lots of leg room. Very clean toilets and an ample number (a big plus over the nearby Vue, where there aren't enough facilities). Friendly staff. Odeon Limitless is fantastic value. A few gripes though. On a few occasions the film has started and they've forgotten to dim the lights, I had to go out and find an assistant. Also, although they have most of the big blockbuster releases, many important and even big films get missed and are not shown here at all. Some films do not get evening screenings, so if you work during the day you miss them. I do hope these few gripes are addressed as this is a cinema that holds many fond memories of watching films, since I moved to Exeter 20 years ago.
If you slouch in the premier seats the head rest of the premiere seats in front block part of the screen even though I am 6ft 1 however premier seats are very comfortable. Need to update to the latest projectors and sounds systems. Difficult to find seats in pitch black. Staff are helpful and friendly. Odeon limitless is excellent value. If you upgrade your screens and sound you will offer the perfect cinema experience.
Barnfield Rd, Exeter EX1 1SN, UK – 01392 270891
An excellent local theatre with a wide range of consistently outstanding productions. I recently had the joy of seeing a production of the Phantom Of The Opera there, and it blew me away. Very friendly staff, and a very nice building
Very informal, lovely staff, not a bad seat in the house as they all have a brilliant view of the stage. We watched a local youth theatre school's production of A Chorus Line and it was not what I would categorise as amateur there were some weak actors but also some real talent O e thing to note is the bar only takes cash and not card
